A rare 1983 solo track by Van Halen guitarist Eddie Van Halen, titled "All Fired Up," has surfaced online via the Van Halen News Desk. The instrumental number was written and performed by Eddie as part of the complete musical score he composed for the movie The Wild Life. Eddie performed the entire score himself with the help of a drum machine. The track clocks in at over six minutes. Parts of it can be heard during a party sequence in the movie. The film starred the late Chris Penn, Eric Stoltz, Lea Thompson and others as teenagers living and partying in the suburbs of Los Angeles. Parts of “All Fired Up” were later re-used for “A.F.U.(Naturally Wired)”, which appeared on Van Halen’s 1988 album, OU812.
