22-year-old Dublin man suffered an erection for seven weeks after a mountain bike crash. Dr. Ronan Browne, who treated the man who waited five weeks before seeking treatment, described the injury as "high-flow" priapism "with rigid erection." Doctors inserted gel foam and four tiny platinum coils at an abnormal connection that supplied blood to the man's penis. The procedure reduced the high-blood flow effectively ending the erection. Brown was, quote "very happy with the outcome" and believes the man will make a full recovery.
