‘The Walking Dead’ inspires free online college course

‘The Walking Dead’ inspires free online college course at University of California, Irvine. It's a dream that's now one step closer to reality: a generation of college graduates who majored in "The Walking Dead" with a minor in "Game of Thrones." The University of California, Irvine Wednesday announced the launch of a free, open online course built on AMC's major cult hit "The Walking Dead."The course, which is co-produced by AMC and Instructure, is modestly titled "Society, Science, Survival: Lessons from AMC's 'The Walking Dead.'" Its goal is to look at "a broad range of issues through the lens of a hypothetical zombie apocalypse." The course launches Oct. 14, the day after the fourth season of "The Walking Dead" premieres. The course will run for eight Mondays through Dec. 2. It is what the university calls a Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) and registration is open now. Enroll HERE. More info HERE.
