A new app claims to be able to change the taste of food with a mini air-freshener cartridge that clips into a phone. The Scentee device plugs into a smartphone's headphone port and costs about $35. The app can be set to release a scent when a phone clock alarm goes off or when an individual receives a text message. Users can select a scented cartridge from floral scents like lavender and jasmine, to food ranging from strawberries and coffee to curry and bacon. The Scentee is being sold in Japan. The App claims to change the tast of food because smell plays major part in tasting food.
