Shinedown planned to release an album of acoustic cover songs this year -- until it was blocked by Bon Jovi. According to Classic Rock, the disc was put on hold after Bon Jovi refused to grant Shinedown permission to include a version of the former band's "Wanted Dead Or Alive" on the record. Guitarist Zach Myers told This Is Not A Scene, "It was going to come out and it was going to be no problem . . . That’s when you get into publishing -- you have to get permission. And two of the artists were like, ‘We don’t like anyone covering our songs.’ I’m not going to say who -- Bon Jovi -- and so that was kind of that.” Myers added, “We’re trying to figure it out right now. It should be all cleared up -- it will be out soon.” The set contains covers of songs chosen by fans, including material by the Clash, Pearl Jam and Metallica.
