Join Marshall as he hosts America’s 250th birthday at Rousakis Plaza in beautiful and historic downtown Savannah on River Street.
The celebration of our nation’s 250th anniversary begins at 6:00 pm on Saturday, July 4, 2026 – Independence Day. Plans include live music on three waterfront stages – Plant Riverside District, Rousakis Riverfront Plaza, and The Park at Eastern Wharf. Enjoy 250th food & drink specials in our waterfront restaurants. Plus, we’re hosting a Most Patriotically Dressed Contest on Rousakis Riverfront Plaza!
At 9:30 pm, the skies will be lit up by a dazzling fireworks show, perfectly synced to patriotic tunes for the enjoyment of guests in Rousakis Riverfront Plaza, Plant Riverside District, Eastern Wharf, and the Savannah Convention Center. The approximately 20-minute spectacle is fired from a floating barge in the Savannah River. This event is free and open to all.
